Specialist Veterinary Pathologist
Stephen completed his Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney in 1994, and then spent three years in mixed practice in the United Kingdom.
In 1998 he commenced two years of veterinary pathology training at the University of Queensland. Stephen was recruited by Gribbles and moved to Melbourne in 2000.
In 2001 he became a Member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (Veterinary Pathology), and the following year received his Masters degree for his thesis on vascular neoplasia in dogs.
Stephen relocated to Adelaide in 2002 to establish Gribbles veterinary business in South Australia, the business growing over the next few years from one to four pathologists, including a successful tender for the South Australian government laboratory contract.
During 2005-2006 Stephen was a junior faculty member at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tennessee. He completed the Anatomic Pathology certifying examination of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 2007.
In January 2009 Stephen moved to Gribbles Veterinary's Rhodes laboratory in Sydney, to expand the range of Gribbles veterinary services in NSW.
Stephen’s area of special interest is dermatohistopathology, and he maintains a keen interest in cytology and the clinical pathology of companion animals.
